Kelli Riggs is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) and a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.  She attended the University of Arizona, College of Nursing where she graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) and was inducted into the National Nursing Honor society Sigma Theta Tau.  Kelli is currently completing her doctoral of Nursing Practice (DNP) research focusing on Adolescent Mental Health.


Kelli RiggsKelli has extensive experience working with children and their healthcare needs.  After completing her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2001, she worked in the general pediatric inpatient unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric emergency Department and Hematology and Oncology Unit.  She gained a true love and compassion for children and their families helping them through difficult moments.  Kelli has also had the opportunity to work with families in their homes as a pediatric home health nurse for the bone marrow transplant clinic.  She helped families adjust to the difficult demands of the treatment process.  Kelli enjoyed teaching families bout their children’s health and also taught nursing students during their pediatric rotations at University of Arizona – College of Nursing and Pima Community College.

Kelli and her husband, Traver, have three children.  They enjoy spending summer evenings together swimming, having dinner on the patio and watching the monsoons.  She is very excited to continue caring for Tucson’s children as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and working with the amazing team at Old Pueblo Pediatrics.  Kelli is passionate about preventive health care with development and mental health screenings.
